The Jasper Municipal Library was founded on November 12, 1942. The original location was in the basement of the Jasper Park Information Building. In 1975 the Library relocated to an historic building, which was constructed in 1926 as the Jasper Sub/District Headquarters of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. The library is governed by a library board made up of members in our community. Our current board members are: Chairperson, Joyce Melnyk Vice Chairperson, Diane Tremblay Secretary, Lorena Barba Alonso Treasurer, Tiffany Toussaint Board Member, Julio Cesar Zuniga Clerque Board Member, Keslin Park Board Member, Wendy Hall The Library Board meets the second Wednesday of each month at 5pm and meetings are open to the public.
